Kinomap TV is now available on big screen!

This information should be of great interest to endurance sports fans looking for exotic training destinations. The interactive training application for indoor cycling, running and rowing has developed Kinomap TV, a new version designed entirely for large screens. It is now possible to download Kinomap directly from the Store of a smart TV, (Android TV or Apple TV), but also from Google Chromecast or Amazon Fire TV… We’ll tell you all about it!

Why a dedicated application for smart TVs?

If you’ve ever used Kinomap on your smartphone for training, then you’ll certainly be able to confirm that using the video mode is not optimal. Indeed, the screen is relatively small, and even if everything works perfectly, the experience is far from immersive. With a tablet, training on an exercise bike, treadmill, rowing machine or home trainer is already much more enjoyable, but you still need to be equipped. The screen is more suitable, but we’re not yet talking about immersion.

Screen size was a recurring theme among our users. So, several years ago, we developed the remote display (web display) feature, which enables a simple web browser on a computer or TV to display a Kinomap video. This feature was much appreciated, but it did have a few limitations that are no longer applicable to Kinomap TV.

With Kinomap TV, you don’t need your phone or tablet. Go directly to your smart TV or connect your multimedia device such as Google Chromecast or Amazon Fire TV to your TV.

Kinomap TV

The application we’ve developed is a lighter version of Kinomap, offering only the outdoor scenic video mode. A more advanced version will follow in the coming months, when it will be possible to join connected challenges or make a coaching video directly from Kinomap TV. The following modes will not be offered on Kinomap TV: structured training, free training or map. However, these modes will remain accessible from the mobile or tablet version of Kinomap.

If you don’t have a Smart TV, Kinomap TV is also compatible with Google Chromecast versions of Google TV (Sabrina) and Google TV HD (Boreal), and Amazon Fire TV (available for less than €/$/£50).

Compatibility Kinomap TV

In terms of equipment compatibility, this version connects with over 2,000 machines on Android TV. However, some models are not yet supported by Apple TV technology. You’ll need to check the list of compatible equipment directly from the Kinomap application or check the compatibility list on our website. Price

This service is included with the classic Kinomap subscription.  If you only wish to subscribe to the Kinomap TV, the subscription will be available starting February 2024 for €/$/£8.99/month or €/$/£69.99/year. Over the next few weeks, the service will be available free of charge as part of the launch.
